Lauren, I notice when things are atrocious, but it bugs me way less on a message board than in an email or on paper. And I only get judgy if it's really bad. Or the content is stupid. Or I already don't like you.

That is pretty bad. I wonder if it is possible that it showed up as a misspelled word and he just corrected it without paying attention.
Lauren- We all have those issues. One of my many bad habits is that I often don't proofread before clicking the post button and then I notice all the errors and typos. I often feel a little embarrassed by it, among other things.
Wow. That's a whole 'nother level of stupid. I have to confess, though, to adding my name to my spell check on my computer, for when I'm not going to proofread something (such as an email) before hitting send.
