You posted this cookie recipe.

Rory and I made these last night for her class, and am not a big cookie person, but I ate three of them!  They are really soft, too.

ETA:  While you're mixing them up, have B unwrap all the kisses.  That kept Rory plenty busy!

I have a question about this part-
1/2 c. butter-flavored shortening
1/2 c. real butter
 
What the heck is butter-flavored shortening? I thought shortening was the butter, guess not.
I am so making these. I just need to get the kisses.

    I have seen this stuff.  They have Crisco shortening that is in sticks, like butter.  BUT, I just used 1 cup of butter because I didn't have that stuff.  They were seriously delish.  I also left out the extra chocolate chips.

    I also suggest sticking the kisses in the freezer for a little while before you put them on the cookies so they retain their shape a little better.

    1 cup of butter I can do. Thank you! And is that your blog with the recipes? I know you post it a lot and if not, do you have a blog? You have tons of fabulous ideas for everything it seems.

    No, that is not my blog, but I love all of their recipes, so I do refer to it a lot! Smile

    I do have a blog also, although, it is mostly photography and it has not been updated in ages.  I have been taking photos of my holiday stuff, but I'm not sure I'll get the motivation or time to get them on there.  It is here.
