DD is begging me for a princess room, we are moving into a new house Sunday and she is getting new furniture (white) she has had her bedding set for 2.5 years from Target and although it has held up well it is probably time for a new one due to all the frequence washings. I nixed sleeping beauty from the get-go and she is not happy about it. I hate character themes and don't want her to outgrow her room in a year. Any ideas, sites, bedding that i can do a princess room in a classy non tacky way?
Re: Non-tacky princess room?
I like this set from Kohls. It is princess, but not character specific.
What about just a really pretty, girly quilt and some kind of princessy sheets? These are not princess, but they are super cute and girly.

This is really pretty, too, and you could find some princess wall art? That second link, I love everything from that etsy seller.

The photo of your dd in your sig would be beautiful in there, too!
This seems pretty. Sorry if the link doesn't work, I don't really do links, lol.

This bedskirt is the first thing I thought of...
It's PBK but I bet you could find something similar elsewhere.
I'd do plain bedding (like a solid colored quilt) and add ruffled pillows.
Here are some wall graphic ideas too...

DD has something like this over her bed and loves it because she can pretend she's sleeping beauty.
I would go with a super girly quilt and keep the wall color and curtains neutral so they can go with the things in the future... Then you could play up the princess thing with posters in frames
https://www.easyart.fr/posters/Disney/Disney-Princess---shine-72896.html you can get a frame for it at hobby lobby, walmart any where that sales the posters... it would please her for now they are cheap and would make her happy..
We're doing something similar for dd's room: sort of fairy tale/princess/fairies without the tacky Disney-esque decor. She wants a pink room desperately. I'm thinking since she has white furniture that using green along with the pink would look nice. Here are a few of the things I'm using for inspiration (we have a very similar bed that is shaped like a castle, has a bottom bunk where dd sleeps):
DD's bedroom has pink walls, white furniture and green bedding (PBK French Rose: https://www.potterybarnkids.com/room/rom/romgir/romgirgfr/).
I let her get Disney princess sheets even though I was opposed to a "character-themed" bedroom because once the comforter is pulled up and the pillow shams are on, you can't see the sheets or pillowcases.
