Heard from my stepmom

Dad is leaving her again. Sent her an email that he loves Girlfriend more than her and plans to file for divorce on January 4th (their wedding anniversary, nice huh?).

 She also commented that she totally agrees with me that it isn't fair of him to judge me based on my actions at 14 years old. 

I never talked to her about this, so that means that my dad was complaining to his wife, that his grown daughter didn't want to meet his girlfriend that he was cheating with.  awesome.

    Its just another proof that you are doing the right thing.  Protecting yourself from all this sh*t.  You don't need this.  You have a beautiful marriage and two wonderful kids that take plenty of work to keep beautiful and wonderful- focus on that. 

    On the plus side, at least your dad is talking about you.  'cause if he didn't care at all, he wouldn't be talking about it all to everyone.  So that's a twisted positive.

    I agree it means you did the right thing, sometimes it is better to cut off people in life, even if a parent.  I chose to stop talking to my father, and very happy with the choice still after 3+ years.

    I agree with everyone else- you made the right move. Sucks, but ultimately the best decision.

    Sorry you are dealing with this. If I was your stepmom I would file for divorce now, and beat him to it. It sounds like your stepmom is a wonderful person, just with the wrong one. GL to you ladies.
