I just realized....

Asher is now a week older than Caleb was when the baby was born.  Eek!  I look at him and think "I had a newborn when Caleb was this age?? What was I thinking?!"  lol

I think it's probably because I compare the two boys.  I look at Asher and think how far he has to go to be at Caleb's vocab/walking/etc ability.  But back then, Caleb was all I knew and he seemed so old already.  No wonder I got so many crazy looks and comments!

This is a really wild milestone to me for some reason.....

    I was saying the same thing to DH last night! In less than 2 weeks I would be having another baby. Wow. I cant even fathom that right now.

    And I also agree about the comparing them thing. Nolan still seems like a baby to me, but when Brady was 16 months old I thought he was so big. Funny how it changes!

    I felt just like both of you - hard to wrap my mind around bringing a baby home when the yongest was the age that the oldest was when he was born.

     

    Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
    Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
