We had our department holiday luncheon yesterday. As a few of us were just starting to clean up, a woman in our department brought in a person from another department she was having a scheduled meeting with. She brings the man in, shows him the spread on the tables, and tells him to help himself. Doesn't say anything to us (and our department head was right next to me), doesn't introduce him, nothing. He gets himself a few desserts and they walk out. Side note: we always schedule to have the leftovers together the day after the luncheon as a group, so it's not as if any of this food would be going to waste, or going back home, etc. Is this rude, or am I just being hypersensitive b/c I can't stand this particular woman?
Re: NPR: is this rude?
I dont think rude is the right word....hmmm maybe more like presumptuous (sp)?????
definitely awkward!
UGH! That's just gross! I *hate* people nosing in my food!
