BF and no period yet. Question

It's been 3 months, I'm on the mini pill and BF and still no period.  Why do some girls get it back right away and others don't?  Will I have any warning when it is gonna come back?

    My mini pill is all active pills, so no period.

    There's no warning... well, maybe the same signs you'd get before your period if you had any. Some women don't get their period back until they're done bfing. Some get it right away. Some get it when they start nursing less often. I think it's all related to your hormone production. I got mine back around 7 months with DD1. DD2 is 5 months, and I have not gotten it yet. I'm hoping it stays away as long as possible.

    We just talked about this last night at my BFing Support Group.  Some woman who have been nursing for 12 months plus havent had a period in almost 2 years (9 months of pregnancy and their babies are almost or over a year old).  I say enjoy it.  The lactation consultant said most BFing woman never get their periods while some will get it right away, there is no telling why or why not!

    5 months and counting and no sign. Though we are TTC so who knows when I'll get one!

    With #1 i didnt get it until DS was 9 months.  You will probably have normal PMS symptoms, but just to warn you, the first couple periods (at least for me) were AWFUL.  Horrible cramping and much longer then usual....it was like my body was trying to make up for lost time....lol.  

    Anyway, just enjoy it while its gone.  Its one of the benefits of BFing.  I have been either pregnant or BFing for the past 3 years (so weird to think of that) and have only had my period 3 times in those three years between kids.
