Never thought this would come back & bite me on the @ss lol

I dont always turn on my cochlear implants when I first get up.  So lots of time Michelle would be trying to say something to me and I have to say " I dont have my ears turned on...give me a minute"

I got M some stickers & in the car she asked me if she could open them.  I told her no.  I wasnt paying attention since the traffic was heavy.  When we got home I saw that she opened them already.  I asked her why she did that when I already told her no.  Her answer....

" Well, mom....I didnt have my ears turn on...they were turned off so I didnt hear you"
