Rock n Play Sleeper ... Love it or Hate it?!?

Amazon has the FP Rock n Play Sleeper for only $38. I already have a PnP with the newborn napper, a swing, bouncer and bassinet ... But for some crazy reason I still want this thing. It looks like it would be good for travel instead of the bulky PnP ... But there are mixed reviews on it saying it cause flat spots and sore muscles. If you have one have you had these issues? TIA

Re: Rock n Play Sleeper ... Love it or Hate it?!?

  • It's fantastic for travelling, we take it anytime we go to my parents' beach house or are spending a lot of time at their house so she can nap in it.  DD has reflux so the incline is important for us.  She only naps in it and doesn't sleep in it at night so I don't have any issues with the flat head thing.

  • we love our RnP and C does really well with it. It is one of my favorite after baby purchases.
  • If you already have all that gear, I wouldn't bother. It may be easier to travel with, but your kiddo is going to outgrow it much more quickly then a PNP. That's not just in weight limit but in practicality too. The best part of a PNP is they can't get out of it Wink

I'd seriously question the RNP being the only cause of flat spots. How is it any different then a bouncer or swing?

  • I love it and my LO loves it too. She naps and sleeps in it. It's great for going to other people's houses. We take it everywhere with us, especially the sitter's house. My LO hates being in her car seat, so it's really nice to have this when we go to grandma's house and she wants to nap.

  • Love it. We have two - one at our house and one for mom's. I slide a folded blanket in the back flap to add a little cushion. He sleeps in at at night. No problems so far.
  • Wasnt worth it for us.

  • Love it. This is by far and away the best baby purchase I've made yet. My LO doesn't have a flat spot or anything.

  • The RNP has saved our sanity on the nights he won't settle in his crib. No flat spots or sore muscles, just well-rested baby and parents.
  • DS has been in it since day one. LOVE IT. He also needs it for his bad reflux becasue he needs to be propped up at night. It is SO easy to travel with and the sides are breathable which is a plus as he is constantly hot even in the winter. Until he outgrows it, I won't even think about transitioning to the crib. That will be a sad day.

  • Love it.

LO slept in it until about a week ago when we transitioned him to the crib. He slept amazing in it and is actually napping in it right now.

LO does have a slight flat spot, but I don't think it's only from the RNP. He likes to turn his head to the same side no matter what he is in. I did what PP did and slid a blanket in between the fabric and the plastic base for extra padding.

  • Love it. LO has slept in it since day 1. She totally hated the crib, and sleeps in it at night. No problems with flat head or neck problems.

  • We love it.  LO sleeps in it at night still as we have not yet transitioned to the crib.  I haven't noticed a flat spot.
  • we bought it to take to IL's house. Although it is a lot nicer to pack up than the pack n play, I kind of think it was a waste of money.

We love it. She still sleeps in it until I grow the balls to put her in her crib.

    Exactly this.
