2010 kicking us down once again (bump break ment)

There are what, 15 days left in this year? 15. Two weeks and a bit. I have been so anxious for this year to be over and to start fresh. I should have known it wouldn't happen without another kick in the pants.
DH broke his ankle last night. He was out at hockey, I was in bed. He came home and something stirred in me and I asked him what was wrong before he even said a word or turned the light on. He was walking out of a Mac's mart (after buying me some windshield washer fluid) and slipped on ice. He was in the ER until 3:30am. Dx following xray: an avulsion fracture to the fibula. Awesomesauce. Just in time for the holidays.
I cried on my way to work this morning over a broken bone. I need this year to be over, yesterday.
I will be taking a bump break, so I will be more MIA than I have been lately. I am having a difficult time. I am coming to hate TTC and I think I need a break to regroup. Seeing goats come through here (as well as other things) has been difficult. I will probably lurk a bit and will keep posting the multiple loss check-in (which I will do tonight as I missed it last night).
If I don't come back before Christmas, I hope you all have wonderful holidays. Send me a pm if you would like to keep in touch.

Big hugs for you! You've been through so much this year so I totally understand needing a break. TTC can become so all consuming that it stops being fun, thus the reason I am not temping this month. We will all be here whenever you need us!
I am so sorry...that is crappy to happen anytime, but right on top of the holidays is extra bad!!!
Hang in there and good for you for knowing when you need a break..its so easy for TTC to take over and a step back sometimes is the best plan. All my best to you!

I'm so sorry for you husband's broken foot - that's horrible. I hope he heals quickly. Take all the time you need to take care of him and you. You're not the only one wanting to wish 2010 a speedy goodbye.
