Do you keep in touch with NICU staff?

I really bonded with a lot of the nurses and RT's since I was in the NICU so much. They were all like my moms for the 4 months we were there. Do you still hear from NICU staff or keep in contact?

    I e-mail with his daytime primary nurse and keep in touch via facebook with his overnight primary nurse and one of the residents.  Otherwise we still have appts sometimes with specialists at the hospital where he was at so we try to stop by and see people when we are there for appts.

    Whenever I go to the hospital, I make a visit to them. I'm taking them Christmas presents tomorrow. They were AMAZING with the twins and I still love them. I always tell Nate to stop by and say hi for me too when he gets a chance (he works at the hospital where we were).

    I say hi when we meet at the march for babies, and will be sending a photo card with a letter this year. We used to swing by the unit when we were going to follow up clinic.

    I usually send a Christmas card to the NICU every year.  I never hear anything back but I know the nurses love to see the NICU graduates.

    I am friends with several of our favorites on facebook and also email with them regularly.  We plan on visiting them whenever we have to go into the city for follow-up appointments.

    We are facebook friends with our primary nurses and email quite a bit with our daytime primary.  We are also friends with one of the Neos, we hung out quite a bit socially when E was in the hospital and also after Ella went home.  She move to NM so we only email now.  She walked with us in the MOD walk and is flying back this year to walk with us again.  We also try to get to the nicu but have not been able to visit in a while since E has been sick so we have not been able to get in.  I am hoping that she will be healthy enough soon to go in.  She has not been in since the summer.

    Yes, we do. I'm Facebook friends with many of our primary nurses, and I also email/text with a few of them as well. I stop by to visit when we go for NICU clinic appointments and we exchange holiday cards. I invited all our primary nurses to C&L's 1st birthday party and almost all of them came, which was awesome. They were definitely like family to us and they were with us through so much that we still feel very connected to them.
