I am using OPK's this month in addition to my usual charting. It is my first time using them. I just wonder if they get progressively darker, or is it a light one day- dark the next kind of thing? My line yesterday was definitely darker than the one today, but not dark enough to be positive. I have no signs of ovulation yet, so I don't think I missed anything, but I was just checking. Thanks!
Re: Quick question about OPK's
From what I've read on this board it varies from person to person. I typically have a very faint line until a day or two before the surge. Then it darkens until I get a positive. I test twice a day so I usually see one or two darker ones before I get the positive.
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
This is my second month using OPKs and I have yet to see a test line that is as dark as the reference line. I'm on day 24 now. A few days ago the test line was light towards the top then got progressively darker down the line until the bottom was about as dark as the reference line. I have no idea what that meant! (I check once a day in the afternoon). Some other posts have suggested testing multiple times a day if you have a "short surge" so you don't miss it. My friend said her test line got progressively darker each day until it was definitely positive. Hope that help! Good luck!
