NBR: Selling car to Car Max

Has anyone had any experience selling a car to Car Max?  I'm thinking about selling my Saturn to Car Max.  We still have a balance, but it's about the same what Kelly Blue Book is.  We just want to get rid of it.  Well, it's a love/hate relationship.  I LOVE it... when it's good.  I've had a lot of water leaking issues from the sunroofs and overhead light wells and since Saturn is no longer around, I have to take it to the Chevy place in town.  The last time they "fixed" it they didn't look to happy to have to deal with it and let me know my warranty has expired...so I took it as "you're sh@t out of luck next time".  After reading on the internet, it seems like it's a chronic issue and can lead to electronic issues from the leaks.  DH said to look into the Lemon Law in CA but we've had it for 3 1/2 years so I think we're past the time frame.

Anyways, just wondering if Car Max gives good deals.

    We sold a car to them several years ago (probably 5 or so).  They gave me more than I thought they would, but it was a very popular and in-demand car.  It was a very easy transaction, with no pressure or obligation at all.  It would be worth going in to get an offer, and then you have a certain # of days/miles to decide whether or not to sell to them.

    I was going to sell my camry to them when we got our new car, they offered us more than a dealer would but since my car was old it would have been wholesaled out so we sold it private party for more than Car Max could offer.

    They were great to work with!
