Parenting after 35

Endoscopy tomorrow morning

I know Keegan will be fine, but I am so stressed out right now.  I do not like when my little guys have to go under.  But, we should know something about his diet (Celiac) tomorrow.  So hoping for good news either way!  Just want my lil man to grow!

I am super sensitive about his size right now too, I know he is small... but really do you have to make comments????  A woman at Owen's Christmas Concert the other night asked me how old Keegan was, so I told her.. her comment "Oh, he is so small". How am I suppose to respond?? Gee thanks.

  • Good luck tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you guys and hoping for good news!

Margaux is little as well, I feel your pain.  I usually just tell people she is perfectly Margaux-sized.

  • Good luck with everything!

I've had several of these and while for an adult it's no big deal, I know for a toddler it is.  Hope it goes smoothly.

And I've had the opposite: Wow! He's only __ old? He looks so HUGE!

    Gee thanks.

  • GL tomorrow!

I hear you: my oldest is still small. She will be 21 y.o. next month and she is 4'11" (I am 5'6"). W/o heels and makeup she looks like she is 11 y.o. She likes being petite though, and she is perfectly fine with her height.

  • Aw.. there's nothing wrong with little guys!   But I sure hope they figure out if anything is wrong.  I have a ton of Celiac friends (adults, mostly) and it's certainly a lifestyle adjustment for everyone in the family.  But hey, there could be worse things, right?

C is on the smaller side, too, and I'm fine with that.  No offense to you 98th percentile kids, but it's not such a struggle to clothe him!  My cousin's 5 month old is already in the 12 month sizes and wanting hand-me-downs.  Can't do it... C's still wearing his 12 month stuff!

  • Good luck tomorrow.  I get comments about how thin Matt is - he has a tiny little waist.  I just say that he is good at burning calories (unlike his mom!)
