So my ET was yesterday. We did a 5dt.
It went well. We went in with the decision that we were going to transfer 1. We met with the doctor and found out that of our 19 that fertilized, only 7 remained. (I say only but I know that is still a very decent number)
I really expected there to be at least 1 amazing one. They were all in the middle box, average.
So we went back and forth and back and forth. Should we do 2? I cried. It was tough.
In the end we picked the best one and transferred only 1. Our decision was made that way for a reason so we decided to stick with it.
So, they transferred the 1. The transfer was a little crampy but nothing bad. The worst part is the full bladder. But we got a u/s picture of the transfer to take with us. I love it.
We named the little embryo "Petey" and we have been telling Petey to dig in and get cozy for the next 9 months.
::fingers crossed:: Beta is on the 29th, I doubt I will be able to not POAS until then.
Re: The ET
Glad it went well. I agree the pushing on the full bladder was torture!
Fingers crossed for great news on the 29th!
IVF#3 brought us our miracle baby girl on June 26, 2012
And i just wanted to let you know that i love the name Petey. Its a silly story but DH loves Halloween and Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. I bought him this statue/figure guy that looks like he belongs in the movie with a big tall hat and hes holding a tray like a butler almost. We named him Petey and he is a year round decoration and is currently wearing his santa suit and hat
Thank you! I love thinking of it as a lucky name!
It wasn't the original nickname either. I had Ziggy in mind but DH wanted Petey (after Petri dish-we have strange senses of humour)
FET: Success! Beta at 14dp5dt: 2427 TWINS!!
Team Petey! I love it and now I want to make a badge for it. LOL
FET: Success! Beta at 14dp5dt: 2427 TWINS!!

::lurking:: Get snuggled Petey!
Since we are cycle twins I say we both pee on the same day (5 day transfer yesterday makes you basically 6dpo today, right?)
Hell, I wish we lived close enough we could pee together.
That sounds weird, doesn't it? Oh, well, you know I'm a freak

For the record I've trying to reply about ten times. Annoying glitches.TTC since 1/2008
Love & luck to my 3TC girls. Congrats to Omega-The boys are here!
If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.
After 2 years & 2 losses, our little man arrived 8-2011.
