So, for the past 2 weeks I've been letting LO fall asleep in the swing around 9p.m. while I watch tv or read. I go to bed & she wakes me up to eat around 3:30 to 4:30a.m . (Hubby has been out of country for work for 1 month, coming home for Christmas).
Is it wrong to let her sleep in the swing for so long? She seems just fine, but I'm sure this sleep routine is not recommended by Parenting magazine, or the American Academy of Pediatrics!!!
I'm just interested in your opinions...good or bad.
Me: 42, DH: 43.
We are so grateful to have a 2yr old daughter, conceived naturally after 3 miscarriages & no treatments (our Dr. gave us 1 more month to try on our own before advacing to IVF, & we conceived her naturally in January 2010)!
Trying since April 2011 without sucess....MD said we were both "fine" & that if it wasn't happening, it was a chromosomal issue.
Finally started Follistim 225mcg injections with an Ovidrel trigger November 2012. Bleeding 11 days post Ovidrel on November 25th.
Starting the whole lab/Ultrasound/Follistim cycle again on November 27th...
Re: Am I bad for letting LO initially fall asleep in the swing?

There were a lot of times that I had to put my DS in the swing to get him to fall asleep when I wanted to put him down for the night. Once I thought he was in a deeper sleep I would move him to his crib. Sometimes he would wake up as I was putting him down (so he would go back to the swing) and other times he would stay asleep. Then when he would wake in the middle of the night for a feeding I would have to put him back in the swing to get him back to sleep and he would stay there for the rest of the night and I would sleep on the couch (swing is in the living room). He is now 8 weeks and I don't have to put him in the swing to get him to sleep initially but the odd time he still ends up in the swing in the early morning so I can get a bit more sleep but this is starting to get rare. I think now that he is getting older and staying awake more during the day he is more tired at night so he falls asleep better. So I would say whatever works for you. I have read on here before that many babies sleep in different places other than a crib as long as it is safe.
At this juncture my motto is"Whatever Works", so I say it's fine.
