Well not really... My RE that dx me with PCOS retired I loved her! I meet her when I was in my early twenties. My gyn moved over over an hour away! So today Im going to meet a new obgyn AND SET A PLAN. I'm working on a 52 day cycle with no O and its been like this for years. No BCP or protection for 5 years so Im ready to move on!! Hopefully I'll leave with a plan.

By the way my name's Jennie Im new here been lurking but just started posting. Been with my DH for 9 years and we just finally tied the knot on

    Welcome to the board!  I'm sorry you are feeling abandoned by your docs.  I hope you find new ones that you really like.  If you are going on 5 years of TTC, then I would suggest you find a new RE and have them help you with a plan.  They are supposed to help you get PG; OB's are supposed to keep you PG and help you deliver.  Good luck!

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN

    Welcome! And I second what STL34 said.  FInd an RE!  I am in my 4th yr TTC!  I hope you find an RE and get some plans going soon.  None of us deserve to go this long waiting for that sticky BFP!  GL!

    I 3rd what the other ladies said.  I would find an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist).


    After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!
    IVF March 2012 - BFP! - Severe OHSS = 8 days in the hospital in kidney failure
    No heartbeat at 10w6d
    FET August 27,2012 = BFP!

    Thanks Ladies!! I like my new OBGYN! We are gonna start with 500mg metforman and 50mg Clomid this cycle. She said we'll try for a couple of mths increasing doses as we need to then she'll refer me to an RE. This is going to be my first time TTC with the assitance of clomid.

    If you are using clomid, have you had an HSG and has your DH had an SA?  These are tests that should be performed prior to starting any fertility medication (additionally, you should have had CD3 and 7 dpo bloodwork).  Also, make sure you will be monitored with bloodwork and ultrasounds while on clomid.  It is very important.  There are many problems that can occur if you are not properly monitored.

    Sorry about your doc but sounds like you will get a fresh perspective when you get your new one. I too have pcos and I am also a Jenny.

     Yes, all this! Ob/gyns are notorious for handing out Clomid like candy and not monitoring whatsoever. Please make sure they monitor you. I know it can be scary to put your foot down when dealing with a Dr. but you must be your own advocate!

    Im a nurse so my no means am I scaryed to put my foot down with any dr ;)

    However she said that the 1st two mths the only monitoring I need to do is Opk at home to see if Im even Oing. I hear what everyone is saying and will bring U/S monitoring and bloodwork up to her.

    As for the SA and hyst - I was told the 1st step if to get me to O. If I O and  can't get preg. we move on to looking at other reasons.
