It used to be that you'd probably be able to go through security with baby in a soft sided carrier or moby but TSA has changed their policies. The carrier now needs to go through the x-ray. So, either you take the carrier off, put it through, and carry baby through x-ray or you wear them through x-ray and then you take the carrier off, it goes through x-ray and you both get patted down (I don't know why but I've been given that as an option several times).

when we traveled at Thanksgiving I was expecting this. But I think the giant carseat that needed a pat-down (it was too big for the x-ray) threw them off. I did not have to take him out of the beco and we were not patted down nor were we x-rayed other than the metal detector.
I think it depends on your agents.
