We have an infant carseat that can be used to 32 lbs & 32 in. I'm pretty sure that it will get us to Logan's 1st bday and then we will purchase a convertible seat.
If your LO is a year old is he/she still rear-facing. From what I'm reading they can go to front-facing once they reach 1 yr, but a lot of the seats can be used rear-facing from 35-40 lbs.
Just curious...
Thanks!

Aaron is 32.5 inches tall (as of last month) and his legs are totally scrunched rear-facing (he sits cross legged) so I think that's why he's beginning to hate the car seat that he used to love.
I'm probably going to turn him forward facing soon (I may be flamed by lurkers, but often his screams are distracting when I drive) but I'm trying to hold out until at least 18 months.
Edit: And he weighs close to 27 lb.

You must have the same car seat that we have. I am thinking about getting the Graco My Ride 65 soon. (Anyone have this? Thoughts?) It is on sale at BRU right now, and I have a coupon. We will try to keep him rear-facing as long as possible. So far he's fine with it, but I can see that it would probably become uncomfortable as they get taller, like Robyn said.
BTW, I know I said it before, but I love your Santa pic. It makes me smile every time I see it!
Thanks on the pic.
I love the new pic you just posted of Miller - the hat is great!
What Britax is considered the "old" model?
We had a Graco 32 which is supposed to go up to 32 lbs, but Adrian outgrew it by length at about 8 months
So we got a convertible, the Graco MyRide 65, which goes up to 40 lbs rear-facing (which he still is) and up to 65 lbs forward-facing. I think it's best to keep them RF as long as possible
