I haven't seen it, but I was just wondering if it was an okay movie?? DD's preschool class is supposed to watch it, and I just wanted to know what others think? Thanks!
DS is REALLY sensitive about movies (he has only made it through one or two without getting scared), He did make it through The Polar Express, though (he toughed it out because he is OBSESSED with the book and trains in general). He couldn;t make it through Nemo, Toy Story, or a plethora of other movies, so I would say The Polar Express would be fine for most kids

It is rated G. I haven't seen it, but my sister took my 3.5 year old to see it last week while she had him for the week. He loved it-he's obsessed with trains, so that works pretty well. And everything I've heard about it says it is very sweet, I've never heard anyone who was scared, etc.

If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me. For I must be traveling on now. Because there are too many places I've got to see. -Allen Collins & Ronnie VanZant
My favorite verse!
DS has been watching it since he was 2 or 3 and LOVES it. It's annoying. He can recite just about every line from the movie. I have to hide the DVD all year long until Christmas.
Oh yes, perfect for the 2+ crowd, both of my boys are completely obsessed with this movie. It honestly plays 2-3 times per DAY at our house between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and my boys listen to the CD in the car and read the book before bed. I have to put it all away the rest of the year so it will stay special, I really love the message and don't mind having in on because the music is great. The boys go around quoting lines to each other, and can sing all the songs along with both the CD an the movie, it's really cute They LOVE trains, so it's the perfect match for them.
Re: Polar Express...Is it appropriate for 3/4 year olds?
Ditto, but mine has been asking to watch it this year. It is a really beautiful movie, I think, with a good message.
