Runners!! Help Please..(TMI & posted on 0-3mons)

Alright sorry for information overload,I just so over this!! I had my baby over a month ago and I thought that I would be healed-up by now. But after peeing on myself AS I was jogging-guess not!!

Here's my issues (I have many but I will give you only 2! lol )

I can't hold my pee in when I sneeze, jogging or even laughing! I have to wear a pad as I jog even after I pee just before I head out. When I return, the pad is pretty full.

I have been doing kegals (m/s?) but I can't even stop my pee! 32 years old and peeing on myself...

which brings the last part...my tailbone is about cracked because i can't sit on my butt!! When is my butt h*** going to fully heal?? I'm still "inside" out a bit...nice (not)!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET BACK TO NORMAL?? Is running 5 miles a day hurting the healing process?

Thanks for any insight...=)

I can't speak from personal experience, but a very close friend had the same issue and ended up having to do physiotherapy. If it keep happening, this might be something to think about.

    Hope that helps! Good luck!

    Bummer.

You WILL heal! But you shouldn't be running 5miles a day this soon postpartum. Even if you exercised during pregnancy you need to give your body time to go back to normal & you have a ton of hormones still making everything loose. I suggest some type of suppository for your "inside out" issue, I got prescriptions ones right away from my doctor when I brought my babe in for our newborn check & they helped SOOOOOOOOOOO much. I didn't want to wait & see if the hemorrhoids healed on their own & I'm glad I didn't! I started running again at about 6 weeks postpartum & slowly got back into it & I did exercise throughout my pregnancy as well. Take it slow or you might end up doing yourself more harm then good. I know the frustrating feeling of being stuck in the house & how good it feels to get out for a run but take your time!

    Goodluck!

The accidental peeing while running stopped for me about a month ago FWIW. I wish I could say I did my kegals, but I didnt, but it stopped anyway thank goodness.

It took me over 6wks before I started to notice any improvement.  I had to wear a panty liner all the time.  At my 6wk PP visit my Ob/GYN sched. me an apt. with a specialist but by the time the apt. came around I was doing much better and didn't need to see him.  Give yourself more time.

I'd hold off on doing any more running until you hit the 6w pp mark and are cleared for exercise by your doctor.

I know it's super tempting to get back out on the road, but it sounds like your body still needs time and energy to heal

The peeing took a while to get under control.  I think a couple of months for me.  Though admittedly after baby #2 some runs when I'm out for more than 8 miles and trying for fast speed I may tinkle a little.  So it may not ever completely go away.  :(  As for your tailbone, I hope it feels better soon.
