Baked Cinnamon Apples = YUMM!!! That sounds so good right now!!
I was gonna say Yams/Sweet Potato Casserole, but maybe that's considered "Same Ol'..."?

My family is Italian so a Christmas ham was completely foreign to me up until 5 years ago when I started spending Christmas with my husband's family, too.
They do ham, scalloped potatoes, pistachio salad, roasted asparagus, deviled eggs, and dinner rolls.
Seriously, it was the weirdest thing to me! We always have lasagna, stuffed shells, meatballs...I was under the impression that was normal. My jaw dropped when we didn't have lasagna...
Baked cinnamon apples sound AMAZING!! Cheesy potato casserole or roasted sweet and yukon potatoes are both delicious with ham....OH! Roasted potatoes and then steamed carrots, calliflower with a white cheese sauce so then you get your cheese fix with the ham too
Crescent rolls are always my favorite with ham too. Good luck!!!
Im form the caribbean, Trinidad to be exact; so for me the traditional christmas recipe is:
Ham with chow chow
Beef pastelles (that is a mixture of minced beef, tomato paste, olive, capers, carrots, raisens. seasoned to taste, folded in a cornmeal mixture)
Butter parsley potatoes
Christmas rice ( that is rice with a mixture of your favourite veggie, maybe corn, carrots, broccoli, parsley, raisens..etc)
Stewed pigeon peas
Roast chicken in a pineapple sauce
