Hey ladies,
I've noticed there aren't any links for Canadian moms-to-be to meet up on here...It would be nice to get some tips on where the best sites are to order from online for us? ....Sometimes shipping to Canada can not be worth ordering from an American site....I am located in Edmonton, AB so I'd love to know the best baby stores to shop at; as there are so many stores we don't have and the Americans do
.... xo
Re: CANADIAN Moms-To-Be?
I am a Canadian soon to be mommy also!~ And I am close to your neck of the woods... be thankful your not in Fort McMurray right now .... you have more stores than I do! :-P The only websites I have really browsed are motherhood.ca and there were a few ontario based ones... Ill keep you posted. H&H 9 months!!
Hey Mamas!
I am in Kingston Ontario! Gap and Old Navy now ship to Canada!
It would be fun if there was a Canadian board so we could discuss other things too, especially since our hospital system is so different! I wonder if they could make a board for us?
Oh trust me, I lived in Fort Mac for eight years so I am feeling for you..Its tough enough living in or a near a big city so I cant even imagine a small town...I would probably order everything online.
I also agree that The Bump should expand up North! It would be great ESPECIALLY since our healthcare is so different.
I find that Americans have more ultrasounds and doctors appointments then we do? Is it just me? My first pre-natal appointment is at 12 weeks. I don't even know when the first ultrasound is from that...Am I the only one or is this a good time for the first appt?
Hi1

I'm from Barrie Ontario!
and same would love a board that is Canadian based!
lurking...
We are TTC #2 so I've been reading posts over here lately.
There is a canadian moms board. If you go under my boards in the bottom left column and click local bump boards, there is a Canadian Moms Board. That said, it doesn't get much traffic. You're almost better off to stick to the main pregnancy/baby boards.
I'm in Grande Prairie, AB. For big ticket items, we purchased mostly everything from Sears and did a few trips to Babies R Us. I find the best baby clothes (in all honesty) are from Superstore. The JOE brand. They are made by GAP but much cheaper and have the cutest shoes, etc.
ETA: The Canadian board is called Canada Babies under the column I previously mentioned.
I'm from just outside of Kingston!
I agree about the sites that would be good to order off of!
As a PP has said, there is a Canadian Board and there is also Toronto Board under Local Boards. Not great since they cover all stages and age ranges, but they might be better than nothing.
