Anyone else choose this method of birth control? What should we expect as far as recovery goes? He has no problem being the one to get it done but he seems a little somber about it today. Right now he's in the bathroom trimming up down there and I am starting to feel badly for him! Wish I could do something to help ease his anxiety, I offered a BJ but he said he's really not in the mood and I suppose I understand why!

Re: DH is getting snipped tomorrow....
DH had a vasectomy 2 years ago. He had it done on a Thursday and returned to work on Monday. He kept ice on it and took some advil the first 24 hours and just took it easy for the rest of the weekend. I can't remember how long we waited for sex(protected) but it was not long and was based on DH's soreness.
DH was very anxious and expected it to be much worse than it was but came out saying it was not that bad. He was also surprised that he was not as sore as he thought.
GL to your DH tomorrow. Hope his recovery is as easy as my DH's was.
My husband had his last week, but he is out to sea right now (he's in the Navy) so I didn't really have to help him with recovery. I know he stayed overnight in the ship's hospital (it was done on an aircraft carrier) and then was released to light work. He can't lift anything heavier than 15 pounds for 2 weeks, no sex for 4 weeks.
That's pretty much all I know. He told me it was a pretty quick procedure, minimal pain, and a week later he feels 100%.
Good luck to your DH!
