Any one elses DC want to watch the same movie over and over? If we don't huge meltdowns occur and with a 7 month old in the house too I give in. Tell me I'm not alone!
DD is obsessed with Shrek and Toy Story. She doesn't watch them nearly enough for her (or me) to memorize the words, but she is obsessed. And any toy related to these movies, she freaks out over in stores.
Not moive but DVD's an elmo one and leapfrog - constantly. I limit it the way I do normal tv but it is his choice of what he wants to watch even though it drives me insane. I think TV is TV and hopefully it is a phase.
Yes, Cars and Cailou. He doesn't watch it constantly but it is on in the background alot. If he gets distracted playing and I turn it off he freaks. I have a 8 month old too so I can relate, the quiet time is nice to get things done for the baby sometimes.
He had two weeks of needing his nebulizer for breathing treatments in the morning and at night. We'd let him pick something to watch to keep him still.... now he's obsessed with the two. He only watches them in 10-15 min. segments at a time, but it's always back and forth between those two.
I've had the words memorized to Cars for a while now between my two older nephews and now DS ... but I still like it myself so I'm not complaining!
"ishies"/"Finding Nemo" or "Super Spy"/Backyardigans over and over and over and over and over again. Luckily, he's got his own little movie and play space, so it's not too much for us, and he likes having them on in the background while he plays.
Not so much movies, but Caillou and Dora. I think we've seen every Dora episode. And she loves Charlie Brown, we do have those DVD's and she'll sit through The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown year round if she could.
Re: Same movie over and over
Toy Story. I know it word for word. But she loves to cuddle up and watch it on a Saturday morning so what do you do?
Bubblegum Explosion
we have several in a rotation
He used to be obsessed with Cars, Toy Story 1 & 2, Thomas movies.
Now, in his rotation is Shrek and Charlie Brown. He loves going through our DVD case (which we hate) and picking movies based on their pictures.

Cars and Madagascar ("animal movie" to him)
