My SIL called last night to tell me this story...
Apparently my niece (10 years old) was sitting in the living room, looking very serious. She looks up at her mom and asks , "Are 4 year olds hard to watch?" Her mom says they can be, and then silence. About 5 minutes later her mom asks, "Are you wondering because I told you that you could start babysitting at 14, and Auntie's baby will be 4 by then?" and my niece says "Yeah, I'm thinking ahead."
I that little girl.

I used to watch a 3 yr old and 5 yr old when I was 18... I had sooo much fun with them. I definitely think a 14yo would have an even better time....

I've been joking around with her for years that
1.) Auntie wasn't going to have any babies until she was old enough to watch them.
2.) She will have to babysit ALL the time to make up for all the babysitting I had to do for her over the years.
We comprimised on #1. She said I should hurry up and have a baby, and mommy can help her watch it. I have to say too that her reaction to finding out about the baby has been my favorite.
