Discharge and...

Tonight when I was getting ready to be done with work, I noticed that it felt like between my thighs were burning and it was right in the line where your panties hit..

When I finally got home it was really hurting, and its chafed.. bad. =(  I have had so much discharge that it feels embarrassing.. but I know that its normal at this point and I wear pantyliners etc... but my underwear still get wet, so Im thinking that its a combination of the extra wetness and the fact that the legs of my mat. pants sag a little.

Anyway.. I was just wondering what you guys do to help against chafing.. or something that makes it feel better.. because it hurts pretty bad.

Thanks!

Re: Discharge and...

  • After cleaning the areas with soap and water, you should apply a heavy moisturizer. For relief of itching, burning or a rash, I find that oatmeal baths are particularly soothing. I wonder if it might help for your situation? (If anything it's a good reason to relax.)

It seems that you might want to look into a wider and more absorbent liner to help against any leaking. It might be best just to ask your doctor upfront to see if they have any suggestions?

    I hope it gets better!!

  • After cleaning the area, i used petroleum jelly or a medicated powered and it really help. I figured that i would have used these things since they were pretty good for bruises and diaper rash in babies.
  • I usually use diaper cream - weird I know, but it usually clears up the irritation by morning.

  • Thanks guys! Ill definitely give these things a try!
  • I'm a runner and happen to have a few things to prevent chaffing.

I use Sports Shield or Body Glide.
