Yippee for me, it's my 41st birthday.
I got my HSG results from Friday. They found growths in my uterus, enough that the RE wants to do an u/s and likely surgery asap within the parameters that it has to be by cd10, and today is cd9 and he's booked solid today and tomorrow, so unless someone bails on an appointment tomorrow, I have to wait until January and this is a no-go cycle. Grrr.
They were so concerned about the condition of my uterus that they didn't even initially tell me my right tube looks perfect and my left one looks partially blocked.
Spectacular Happy Birthday to me, as I begin the descent into becoming decrepit.
Re: wanna cry
First of all... Happy Birthday! I hope you can find a way to celebrate without being too down.
What kind of growths? Did they say? I have fibroids - a massive one, some big ones and a tons of small ones. They didn't prevent me from getting pregnant. If that's even what yours are.
Next month is a new opportunity. Hopefully, they can get you squared away asap and get onto the business of getting pregnant
*sends love*
If it's any consolation, I have three big ol' fibroids and only one tube and ovary. I'll be 43 next February. It'll all be okay!
Thanks
We don't know what they are yet. But the RE is concerned enough that he wants us to try to avoid this month (unless he gets me in tomorrow) because he worries it could be dangerous if we got pg. Not what I wanted to hear in the follow-up phone call. I hope it just turns out to be fibroids and they are in a good place and we can get pg anyway.
As Daisydana said, fibroids do not prevent pregnancy.
Also being 41 is great. You are now past the drama of turning 40 so you can enjoy your age.
I'm so sorry
But happy birthday!
My Blog
Happy Birthday!
Hope that everything goes well for you and it's an easy fix.
Hope it's nothing serious.
And yes, happy birthday!
I also turned 41 recently, 2 days after the baby was born.
Happy Birthday from another 41 year old!
I had polyps all over my ute. Nothing serious, but it did postpone TTC for us. Once I had the surgery, we were allowed to try on our own right away but we couldn't do a treatment cycle for 3 months. Since you don't need treatment, you will be fine in no time!
