I have asked this before and some of you gave me some great ideas which I bookmarked and them my computer went kaput. Anyway, unemployment is wrapping up and I really need to find a way to generate a little income. I need to work, I need to bring in some kind of money but am having trouble figuring out what to do. Ultimately something at home, working on the computer? Research? I don't know. We can't afford daycare for two kids so I'm at a loss. In my past life I trained horses, taught riding, did some real estate and accounts payable and receivables, tourism, and worked in retail management.Anybody have any ideas or resources they could suggest? I would really appreciate it. TIA

I'll be watching to see if anything would work for me!
You could look into petsitting, I recall Mtnrider saying it can be pretty good money. You might have to get someone to watch the kids now and then though. I would think with your horse experience you could do HORSEsitting as well, which I would think would be harder to find. Really, though, I don't know.
Are you crafty? You could open up an Etsy shop and sell your handmade goods. I have one if you want to check it out for ideas. It's not great $$$ but you do get a bit of extra cash.
Have you thought of any of the home based sales businesses? E.g. Pampered Chef, Dove Chocolates, Premier Designs Jewelry - something along those lines? They all allow you to do shows/sales when and where you want to. I have one friend that is a Pampered Chef rep and she does a cooking demo in her house once a month.
I apologize if this was brought up before. I know I've seen your posts before, but can't remember if your DH is able to watch the kids if you did some night/weekend work.
I have a couple of friends in each if you are curious. PM me and I can get you their info. None are pushy and would be truthful......

This makes me think you could do offer to help with the books for other businesses. You could prep business receipts, etc. before they go to the accountants. I know plenty of very busy self employed people who have boxes and envelopes of receipts and either they have to waste their time, which could be better used earning money, or the accountant's time, which is expensive, to sort, prep and probably list out in a spreadsheet the receipts for the month. Just a thought.

Apparently great minds think alike on here I was going to suggest similar things that people have already mentioned.
Etsy is a great way to make a little extra money. I know that it's been a fun way for me to make a little extra cash, with not too much up front cost.
I've also heard of people making money writing blogs or working for online things such as cha-cha. I'm not the best resource on this. But I do have some friends who are if you would like more information. Also, there are stay at home businesses such as pampered chef, mary kay, etc. that you could do??? I work for a stay at home company called Max International and i've really enjoyed it.

Most petsitters do horses too. You can tailor your biz to whatever animals you want. Here's the thread where I explained a little about it: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/45968874.aspx but you can PM me if you want more info. Not sure what part of CO you live in but I'm sure Aspen, Vail, Boulder, Denver, etc. would be good markets for petsitting.
