For those who want to DIY boutique hairbows and accessories

I found this awesome website with free tutorials:

https://www.girlythingsbows.com/index.html

And another site that offers supplies for cheap:

https://www.trimweaver.com/

And this one too:

https://www.hair-hardware.com/

They also offer tutorials on YouTube.com:

Considering I've paid $7-8 for ONE bow (because it matched a certain outfir PERFECTLY) I am going to try my hand at DIYing my own...who knows I may just end up selling them on Etsy too! LOL!

  • interesting!  I am not very crafty, but let me know how it goes.  If it is not to difficult, I may have to give it a try.

  • I've been making Bella's bows for ages, they are SO easy! The great part is you can go to Walmart or a fabric store and buy just the right amount of fabric for the bow so you don't end up overbuying. Also it's nice because you can match an outfit PERFECT if you just take it to the store. I've done this with a couple of outfits where I really wanted to be sure the red matched or the pink matched. It's SO much cheaper than buying them once you get the hang of it. Also the clips, I buy those in bulk (100) at Sally Beauty Supply. That's the cheapest I've found for them.
  • thanks! i totally need to learn how to make them.  the only reason why we don't have more is b/c i am too cheap to buy them! the only ones we have right now were like $2-3 for a 6-pk at buy buy baby (after coupon) :)

MIL and I made some DIY flower clips several months ago but they are still a bit big for her...or i think i need to get better clips for them.  i may have to check sally beauty supply (thanks sarah!)
