Breast pad recs...

Can anyone recommend breast pads that

1) are the most absorbant

2) are the least visible

3) if disposable, are relatively inexpensive

4) are available at Target?

A good friend specifically told me to avoid J&J because they were visible on her even with 2 bras and 2 shirts. Your recs? Thanks!!!

Re: Breast pad recs...

  • Well, I do use J&J because I found them to be the most absorbant, especially when I was leaking at night.  They do show thru my shirt, but that depends on what shirt I wear, its winter here now so I'm not realy having that problem with sweaters.  The thinner ones (plastic backed) make me itch.

  • I'm not terribly leaky, but I just got some Gerber ones at Target that are reusable. I saw some organic cotton reusable ones at BRU that looked softer though.

I hate the medela disposable pads. They itch like a mutha.

How are the Gerber ones working for you? I am looking for a good reusable pad.

I use Lansinoh disposable pads. I think it is around $8-$9 for 60. Target shoudl have them not sure because I never have gotten them there. I think they work great and you can't really tell I am wearing them IMO.
