I should be studying for my finals right now... but I'd rather be bumping (is that a bumper sticker somewhere?)
DS's party isn't until Jan, but I was wondering about the present opening. He's already received a few Christmas gifts and had no idea what they were and I had to unwrap both... so that being said, I can't imagine it would be fun for guests to see ME unwrap their gift to DS.
I was thinking instead of unwrapping them at the party, to take a pic of DS with each gift and send with the TY cards. WDYT?

Re: Presents: To open, or not to open (Clicky inside)
I completely get what you mean. DS has zero interest in unwrapping presents. I couldn't even get him to pull the tissue paper out of a gift bag with an early Christmas present. That said...
My family will totally want to see him attempt to open the gift and/or me open them. They like to see the reaction on our faces. We tried not opening gifts at his baptism (they were mostly cards anyway), not to mention DS was only 6 weeks old. Yet, we still had special requests to open the gifts in front of the gift-giver. So I've learned my lesson.

I voted SS - I think we are going to request no gifts. We live a few hours from our families (opposite directions, lol), so we are having a small party with friends and a few coworkers we are close to. They are our local support system and everyone is already so generous with DS.
If we were having a party with my family, they would want us to open the gifts though.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
I would love to do this but I know no one will listen to me anyway...
