Cracker Recommendation

So morning sickness has hit (aka all day sickness for me) and the idea of food makes me feel worse.  However, with my last pg if I didn't keep something in me I felt even worse.  My fall-back was Saltines last pg but they are loaded with sodium.  I am going to buy the low sodium ones I think but was wondering if anyone else has a recommendation.  I like Saltines for their bland taste.  TIA!
Praying this little one sticks!

Re: Cracker Recommendation

  • I'm really liking low sodium Ritz right now, but I don't know if that's bland enough for you. Or if you want something slightly sweet, Arrowroots are great.

  • I tried oyster crackers because they aren't salty but this and saltines just turned to paste in my mouth. My cousin told me to try pretzels and that's worked wonders for me, especially when I'm teaching and need something to much on. Those look a lot less suspicious to people. I guess they do have salt on them though so I don't know how much difference that would make...

  • +1 on the pretzels. I always bought the low sodium ones anyways. And they're easy to put in ziplocs because they don't break as easily as regular crackers.

  • I've always snacked on saltines (even before pregnancy), but now that I'm pregnant I can't stand them.  They (and most crackers) give me an absolutely horrendous taste in my mouth.

I've recently discovered that Triscuits work for me.  I was shocked when I read the ingredients.  There are only 3!!  Maybe the lack of extra ingredients helps to prevent that horrible taste.  Who knows.
