When I had the girls they were in the Special Care nursery, and no children under the age of 16 were allowed in to visit them. This even would have included Nanny, should she have been discharged before Maggie! They were still operating under their flu regulations, which I understood were tighter than normal due to H1N1.
I'm not sure what the regulations were for the regular nursery, and babies that room in with mom are though. There seemed to be lots of little ones running around on the pp floor. It never hurts to put a call in to see what their current rules are.

Same rules applied when DD was born (not during flu season) - no SCN visitors under the age of 16. My 3 brothers didn't get to meet DD until she was 3 weeks old and had come home.
Sometimes hospitals have a decent amount of visitor info on their websites, so you could check that out.

When my sister in law had her baby in late Sept, our daughter (2 years old) came with us to visit her. No one said anything or seemed concerned that she was there.
