TTC after 35

OPK frustration question

I have the multi pack of clear blue easy digital OPKs.  This is our last try before seeing the RE so I really want to make sure our timing is perfect.  For thet past 2 days all the strips I insert give me an error message - the wand that is supposed to show up in the window and the book.  But the directions say that this error sign means the test was used incorrectly.  But I haven't used it yet!  They say I ejected too soon (nope), didn't lay it flat after peeing (haven't peed yet), or didn't hold it down while peeing (haven't peed yet).

Does anyone have any idea on this one?   It doesn't seem likely that all the tests are bad, and everything (but our timing) worked great last month.  This is so frustrating!

  • Not sure if this will help or not, but I have occasionally had some challenges with mine. I found that when I try to take the pink cap off after inserting the stick, it pulls it slightly and I can get an error. Now, I pull the pink cap loose, but  not all the way off before I insert the stick and then I take it all the way off when it is time to actually pee on it. Good luck. Hope that helps.

  • I'd call CBE company and talk to them.  If they are indeed defective, perhaps they will send you a new box.

I did think of this last night and I found that if I physically hold the stick deep in the holder it works.  It was not easy to hold it in through peeing and etc, and pulling up my pants but I did it!  I hate the thought of dropping another $30 when I know I am set to ovulate around Wednesday and we see the RE Friday.  So I will do the holding system a few more days...
