NBFR: Baby Update

I have been place on bed rest until this LO arrives.  I woke up Friday to some bleeding and passed a (tmi) large blood clot.  I called the Drs. office and the nurse told me it was probably nothing, but with my history they did not want me to worry all weekend. So they had me come in so they could check on LO.  We had an ultrasound and LO looked great.  He was measuring perfectly and weigh in at 1lb.  Unfortunately, the ultrasound showed that my cervix has shortened by a centimeter from 3.75 to 2.5.  My Dr. was very concerned because this was unexpected. She put me on bed rest until LO arrives, shots once a week and I have to see the high risk OB today for them to evaluate me.  The high risk Dr. and my OB will decide whether I need to have a stitch in my cervix.  I am praying that we do not need a stitch because that involves surgery and hospital stay plus the risks associated with doing it this far along.  I am trying to find activities to do and new hobbies.  I guess I will be on the bump a lot more.
