The Total Baby app fis my absolute must have. (The itzbeen timer would do the same for those without smart phones.) I thought my sister was ridiculous to take the time for this app with her LO. The app reminds me which side I nursed on las because I can't tell. Makes it so easy to see the wet diapers pattern so I know when there's a wet diaper without checking or him crying. I know when to expect him up in any minute. Most useful I can't tell how if it's been enough time that he's likely full during a feeding withoutthe timer (maybe te itzbeen doesn't do that). I'm sleep deprived and it feels like I changed and fed him a minute ago so I suppose the app is my reality check until things settle.

Re: Expecting moms- my must have item
I have found those to be the best go-to options for us as well. She doesn't always want a paci or to suck, so that's out, and she hates having both arms swaddled. She likes being bundled in a blanket or two and kept warm more than being swaddled. The side positioning, jiggling and shushing help the most for us.
