First trip to l&d. Check

This was supposed to be my uneventful, full-term, easy pregnancy.  But I guess my body has other ideas!

I ended up in l&d on Friday.  I really thought I was just getting a uti and didn't want to wait through the weekend to see my dr.  I called the office and asked to come in and have a ua done.  But because I was having back pain and lower abdominal pain, they sent me to the hospital to make sure it wasn't a kidney infection. 

Here's the best part about my awesome body...Confused

I'm showing signs of preterm labor, but wasn't contracting.  The dr didn't want my cervix check, for fear of stirring things up.  My ua came back clear, but my urine was cloudy, so they are doing a culture.  I'm on an antibiotic just in case an infection is brewing.  BP is fine, but I'm having some swelling in my hands and feet.  (had dd early becasue of pre-e)

And so I sit in limbo until my appt with my dr this week, instructed to rest and go back to the hospital if things get worse.  Rest is easier said than done when I have a toddler to chase after and I'll admit, I'm a workaholic (I'm an occupational therapist, and definately don't have a desk job!)

One day, my body will learn to do something right...
