How long do you leave baby in swing/bouncer?

I tried using our Sweet Peace swing today after several days of bad evening fussiness.  He never took to it before, but today he fell asleep in it! YAY!

How long do you leave your baby in your swing/bouncer?  Can I just leave him in there until his next feed?

  • DS sleeps in his swing the first part of the night for 5-6 hours. During the day he will nap in it once for about an hour or so.

  • DD used to only take naps in her swing, so about 6-7 hours throughout the day.  If he's sleeping there I would leave him alone.

  • as long as he stands it.  he'll be fine
  • DD is in swing for about 15 minutes throughout the day (enough time for me to make something to eat).

As for the bouncer she is in there for naps.  3   30 minutes naps.

  • DS takes a few naps during the day in his swing. i was worried about him not wanting to sleep in his crib at night, but so far it has not been a problem.
  • I leave DS in there as long as he likes. Unfortunately, its usually not longer than a few minutes. I feel like we wasted so much money on two swings and a bouncer since he doesn't really like anything but to be held.
  • DS also naps in the swing - only place he will nap. It's a godsend! LOL. Bouncy seat - not a big fan of that anymore =/ He'll last a few minutes then start crying.
  • If he's content, leave him alone! DS won't tolerate his swing for a good nap, but he used to sleep in the bouncy seat a lot. Why mess with a good thing? You both need rest, and if this does it for now, go with it. Put your feet up for a while.

  • DD will take one or two naps a day in her swing. ?As for her bouncy chair- she sits in that when I am taking a shower and sometimes when she is hanging out with her Daddy. ?She loves the swing, but is only eh about the bouncer.?

  • He naps in his swing for about 3 hours. I put him in there in the morning so I can get something to eat and he just hangs out looking around the living room.

My son hates his bouncer. I don't think he is old enough to enjoy it yet.

  • That is the only place my DD will sleep.
