I remember my mom had the white cotton diapers for cleaning and I am wondering where to get them for using as a burp cloth? Or any that you recommend too?
Target has them. I prefer the Birdsye Flatfolds (they are also Gerber brand). They are really large and very absorbent (yet thin), they cover more ground than the regular Gerber prefolds.
I only ever found the thin gauzy ones in stores. You can buy real cloth diapers (you want chinese prefolds) online and they're super cheap. I got mine on cottonbabies.com because they sell the all-white ones with no colored edge. You can get the other kind a little cheaper on greenmountaindiapers.com or a bunch of other sites. They come with a colored border so you can tell the sizes apart. They prefolds are bulkier than the thin gerber kind, but they absorb SO much more and faster and I adored them for my poor refluxing baby!
