Recommendations for Hair

Hello!

When DH and I got married I moved to Baltimore County (new white marsh) but continued to go to my hair person in Rockville. Lately though, the trip is just too far and I need to make a switch to someone more local.

My hair is long and I get it colored about once every 6 weeks, I also like to play around with highlights once in a while.

Does anybody recommend their hair person that they've been going to for a while?

Thanks!

Re: Recommendations for Hair

  • I have 2 rec's.

I used to go to Studio 1612 in Mt. Washington. I saw Lauren. I absolutely love her, but, after having kids it was too hard to make the drive from Bel Air. https://www.studio1612.com/

Now I go to Jordan Thomas in Bel Air and see Allie-She is awesome. She's young, trendy and does great hair. It's just much more convenient for me now. https://www.jordanthomassalonandspa.com/

  • I have been seeing Kaitlynn at La Clinica in Lutherville on York Rd. for almost 4 years. She does my highlights, my sister's, and my mother's and all 3 of us could go on for days about how wonderful she is! She also did my hair for my wedding.

  • I loved going to FX studios in Hunt Valley.  It is sooo worth it between having your own booth, the great warm towels for your face, the five minute scalp massage, the movies, wine/beer, cold stone ice cream and not to mention the great job on my hair.  I see Grace there but she books up very, very quickly.  I think that my sister sees Karen, but you really should be fine with any of the stylists there.

  • I also have two recommendations.

If your hair is blonde and short, Brittany at Salon 8736 in Perry Hall is your gal.  I don't go to her because my hair is red and long.  But I know a ton of women who use her and if my hair was shorter, I may consider switching.

I go to Jess at Salon D in Parkville.  I have fine hair, but lots of it.  She cuts it in a way that brings out the body, which I've never found anyone else who was able to do.  She also does my color which I looooove.

  • I have a friend who does hair at a salon in Parkville and at her house in Parkville too.  She's amazing and if you go to her house you can bring LO and she's cheap!  She's kind of slow if you go to her house so be prepared to spend at least 2 hours there.  If you want her info message me and I will give it to you.  I don't feel comfortable giving her private information out on a public board...

  • I don't live in that area but my mom does and she goes to Judy at a place in Parkville that I believe is called Shear Genius. She gets cuts/color from her and it always looks good. Judy also did my hair for my wedding, she is really nice and down to earth.

  • I love Holly at "Sprout" in Hampden. It's such a clean, pretty salon and she's really great at listening to exactly what you want.
