Babies on the Brain

Pee question

My urine has been cloudy and kind of dark for probably 4 days now, no matter how much water I drink. I average 120oz a day. No pain or other things I've had with UTIs though.

I didn't Google because I have a general "Don't Google Your Own Symptoms" policy. Should I call?

Re: Pee question

  • yes, I would call.  It could be nothing but it could be something.    Better to be safe than sorry.

  • It could be just from your PNV's or too much coffee/general dehydration, but yes, I'd call. I have chronic UTI's and kidney infections and IMO its better safe than sorry.

  • I would call as well, but am super impressed that you drink that much in a day.  I do good to get 30 oz of water in a day.  Especially on the weekends when I have access to whatever I want to drink.  Keep up the good drinking work! LOL

  • Most likely the PNV (or any other med or food?) but since your drinking that much, and it's still dark, I would call just to be safe.

  • My PNV would give me cloudy urine but, I agree, better safe than sorry. Doesn't hurt to call just to rule out a UTI.

  • Well, I've been taking PNV for 2+ years now... So I don't think that could be it. I haven't changed brands or my vitamins at all actually since getting pregnant. I'll call my midwife in the morning and see if she wants me to go to my general.

It's confusing because I haven't really been to the midwife yet. Oh well.

  • I would definitely call. I've been tested for UTIs twice so far because of cloudy urine, and everything came up clear. I think it's just a weird pregnancy symptom for me- I've also been on PNVs for awhile, so I don't think it's that. My MW said not to worry as long as the cultures are clear, so I think you should get the test. GL!
  • The cloudy urine can also be because of increased CM and not actually your pee.
  • UTIs when you're pregnant can feel different from when you're not. I would call, just because you'd want to get that cleared up right away if that is what's going on.
