Cloth Diapering

Help! I bought off of Diaperswappers and...

I found a lot of diapers on DS for a great price in Novemeber, I messaged the seller about holding them for me, was given the OK and put the deposit down.  We emailed back and forth a few times on the terms and we were both good with our arrangement.  She was prompt at getting back to me and very sweet.

I emailed the seller on November 29th to let her know that the balance would be sent through PP within the next 2 days when my check cleared, no response.  On December 1st I paid the balance and emailed to let her know it was in process, she replied the next day asking if I wanted to add a diaper sprayer which I turned down (DW already bought one).  I also asked her a question in my reply email which she never responded to.

My final payment cleared as of the 6th and I emailed her again on the 8th to ask how the dipes were being shipped so I could keep an eye out for the right carrier, I haven't had a response yet.

WWYD?  I don't want to be crazy and keep emailing her but it would be nice to know if my dipes were sent.

  • yes email her again and if she still doesn't respond open a dispute in paypal.
  • I emailed her...

    "C,

Can you tell me when the Grobaby diapers were shipped and how they were sent?  I would like to keep and eye out for them.

    Thank you,
    S"

    Her response:
"I have been on vacation. I will try to send them when the po is open!! Usps"

I am not ok with that response...  She told me (as of Dec 2nd) that she would mail the dipes out as soon as payment cleared...payment cleared 5 days ago and the dipes still aren't in the mail.  Should she have mentioned that she would be on vacation and the dipes would be sent out when she got home?

I replied "Can you give me an idea of when they will be sent?  I thought they were going to be sent as soon as payment cleared."

How long should I wait for the dipes before filing a dispute?
  • How long has she been on vacation though. I would cut her a little slack since it is the holiday season and face it, people get a little busy. I understand your frustration but I wouldn't go filing a dispute just yet.

  • I agree and am not planning on filing a dispute just yet.  She never mentioned that she was on vacation until tonight so I expected that she would send the dipes out within a couple days after payment cleared.  I felt it fair to give her a couple days to get to the post office, 5 days is a bit excessive when I was told that she would get them in the mail "as soon as payment cleared".

She could have told me in her Dec 2nd email that she would be on vacation so I should expect the dipes to be sent out later, that would have been acceptable.

Now I'm wondering how long to wait for the dipes or an email saying they've been sent out before emailing her/filing a dispute (if needed).

I would wait a couple days and if you don't hear from her, email her again. If you don't get a response, or the response is unsatisfactory, then I would open a dispute. While I agree that she should have told you and that's very irritating, I would give her a couple days to get to the post office. Good luck!
