Regular blender would work fine. Our chopper just pretty much dices though ... it wouldn't puree smooth enough.
I would agree with this but to add...the first batch I did of homemade baby food was butternut squash. Although I have a food processor, I was being lazy and pulled out the blender to use instead. Didn't work at all - the squash was definitely waaaaay too thick (even as I added water) to really puree it. Hauled out the food processor and it pureed the squash no problem. So - I think you can try a blender but it seems like it may not work for everything (or at least true of my blender).
