SIL is worried about my baby

SIL keeps asking if I'm feeling the baby kick yet.  When I say no she reminds me that with her three pregnancies she felt the baby kick by 5 weeks.  In fact with her first it was the "kicking" that prompted her to test.  She thinks I should go to the doctor and request a special u/s and testing because she thinks there is something wrong with my baby and perhaps is paralyzed.

::sigh::  So much stupid in the world.

    WOW your SIL is a dumb ass, you should inform her that at 5 weeks the baby doesn't have any legs to kick with....Your baby is fine and many women don't feel anything until week 20+

    This just made me LOL.  There is a lot of stupid in the world.  After getting engaged my SIL asked if you threw out your engagment ring and just wore the wedding band?  Seriously people...

    Did she feel the sperm meet the egg too? Some people's children! Thanks for the good giggle though!  We really need a weekly sh*t my SIL says post, we have some crazies out there!

    Thanks for the laugh!! I needed that! I went to my doctor Wednesday and she said with 1st pregnancies many people might not feel movement until 20-22 weeks but she said every woman is different and some feel it earlier then others!

    Wow. That made my IQ drop a few points. How can she seriously believe that she felt her babies kick at 5 weeks? They don't even have functioning arms and legs at that point and are the size of a poppy seed. Seriously so much stupid.

    LOL is this your DH's sister, or his brother's wife? Because otherwise I would reconsider having more kids. They will be genetically related to this woman. Hopefully this one will take after you. :-)

    I would like to give Kathy a high 5 for her post and your SIL a pop in the head.  Kicking at 5 weeks?....HIGHLY unlikely!!!

    Don't worry!  If you have any worries speak to your doctor.  And let your genius SIL know that every pregnancy is different and that you're right on track.

    Your sister-in-law probably can't tell the difference between gas bubbles and tiny kicks if she thinks she felt the baby by 5 weeks with her first pregnancy.  I'm 18 weeks into my first pregnancy now, and I didn't feel the baby at all (not even flutters) until the first little kicks this past week.  Now I feel Baby all the time!  So I don't think it's cause for worry, except maybe worry that your sister-in-law has some issues.

    Your SIL should not have been allowed to have kids.  Most people don't even find out they are pregnant at 5 weeks....Thanks for the laugh though.  Good times...I am haven't felt the baby either.  No worries.
