Payton or Peyton for a girl?

Which spelling?  Also, what is your thought on this for a girl?

    I used to really like it (Peyton), except a friend of ours has a dog with this name.

    I am resigned to the fact if I ever have a girl I'm going have to go with Paige instead of Peyton on our list.

    Honestly, I really dislike this name for either boy or girl. I know one IRL (a boy) everytime his mom says his name I cringe because it comes out "Pey-ann" because the T is kinda awkward.

    My cousin's daughter is Peyton Katrina. Defintely go w/the "e".

    For the spelling go with Peyton. I went to school with a guy named Peyton. When people said his name sounded like they were saying "Paid-in" or some would say it like "paintin" It has a very awkward pronunciation. I can see it on a boy or girl.

    I have seen both spellings, but we spelled it with an "e" for our daughter.  Love this name...not that I'm biased or anything :)

    5/07 - DD conceived naturally cycle #1

    8/09 - Started TTC #2
    11/10 - BFP!
    12/10 - MC (Chemical Pregnancy)
    2/11 - IUI #1 with clomid & trigger = BFN
    5/11- Switched to a Fertility Specialist, Dx with low progesterone and annovulatory, several rounds of
             clomid = BFN's
    4/12 - Exploratory Lap, Dx Stage III endo
    5/12 - 7/12 - Lupron injections to suppress AF and reduce scar tissue
    8/12 - Surgery to remove tissue, uterus and tubes clear!
    9/12-12/12 - More BFN's!
    1/13 - Referred to an RE
    2/13 - IUI #1 with injects and new RE = BFN
    3/13 - 4/13 - Break due to cysts
    5/13 - IUI #2 with injects (125ml bravelle + trigger) = BFP!!!
    EDD - 1/23/14

    I like it- I think its very pretty. I prefer the spelling with an e.

    My friends have a 18mo girl named Payeton.  I think it's cute, and it fits her personality.  I didn't know it was a popular name these days!
