Infertility

Cost of Menopur

I just received the list of meds I will be using for my next IVF and I am trying to get a general idea how much things are going to cost.  I have a spreadsheet from my first IVF in April but at that time I was using Luveris.  I assume since Menopur contains FSH it's even more expensive.  Can someone give me a rough idea of the cost for a vial of Menopur?  Thank you.

  • One price list HERE. But I'd shop around. If you're willing to get each medication from different pharmacies, it may pay off. GL!

  • Thanks everyone!  This definitely helps.

Any chance any of you are cycling at a SIRM center?  I just got my calender and the med lineup is so different then my previoius ivf cycle.  If I could I'd like to PM you with some questions on their EPP/Antagonist protocol.

  • Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy and The Apothecary Shop both participate in the heart program (I believe that is the correct name).  Anyhow, you pay $10 and then during that year you get Menopur (and a couple of other drugs) at a discounted price.  For my September cycle, it cost me $10 + $71/vial at Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy.  It would have been $10 + $68/vial at the Apothecary Shop.

    Good luck!

  • We've always bought our fertility meds ( in our case, Lepori, the generic for Repronex/Menopur) at www.ivfmeds.com.  They're located in the UK and shipping takes 10-12 days.  Here's their price list...

    https://secure.ivfmeds.com/store/index.cfm

They charge $ 38.75 per 75 UI vial of Menopur

  • Mine would have been $70 per 75 IU vial. I was lucky and had them donated. Make sure to check out P/SAIF to see if anyone has any to donate.
