PSA: Sign yourself up for a 1st aid/cpr class

So I always meant to take a class and have my mom, who watches my kids occasionally, take one too, but it was just one of those things that I never got around to doing.  On Thanksgiving, my 7 mo old grabbed my mom's earring and put it in her mouth.  My mom had no idea what to do.  I managed to recall a little for some old classes, flipped her over, slapped her on the back and got it out.  We felt lucky that I was there when it happened. DH is okay, thank god, but that was the scariest few moments of my life.

 Anyway, don't hesitate to sign up for a class.  I just learned that my local Fire Dept does FREE classes (but you can't get certified).  Anyway, it's worth looking into in your hometown, and if not available, it'll be some of the best $ you ever spent.
