My cycle is usually 28-30 days, but I did have one 26 day cycle last
month (which I wasn't concerned about because I had a 12 day LP still).
However, AF came today and left me with a 22 day cycle. I wasn't
temping this cycle at the request of DH so I don't know for sure if I
ovulated, but I think it was around CD14-15 because I got an almost
+OPK on CD13 and the next day the test line was virtually gone (and
stayed gone as I tested through CD18). I also had my typical O symptoms
and was tracking my CM and CP. This means I only had an 8 day LP? Or,
maybe I didn't O at all... but I still had a 22 day cycle. If you don't
O though, is it possible for a cycle to end so quickly?
What can cause this?
My husband asked if I could have had another chemical pregnancy, but I didn't think that was possible because I didn't think anything would have enough time to happen. The more I think about it, the more the thought bothers me. Could it be possible?
Any feedback or experience you have would be helpful. I have come here before and you girls always have good info.
Hopefully this makes sense and TIA!
Re: Random short cycle- Causes?
Back in October I had a 19 day cycle (which of course, I took the month off from temping). When I meet with my OB a few weeks later I asked him about it and he didn't seem very concerned. He just kind of chalked it up to a short cycle.
But this past weekend I had a chemical pregnancy and I can't help but wonder if there was something more to my 19 day cycle. Maybe I am paranoid but the same thought is in the back of my mind too.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a c/p in September, and I can't help but wonder if this could be another. It never crossed my mind until DH asked me today when I told him another cycle bit the dust. I just didn't know if it was possible for anything to actually happen this quickly so that a chemical pregnancy could actually occur.
Thanks for your reply! I guess a random short cycle is normal. I wasn't super concerned about it because this is the first time it's happened, just more curious what could cause it. Of course it's frustrating to have anything wonky when you are TTC. GL to you!
I had a very short cycle at the end of the summer with only a 10 day LP. I got Shingles, which is super rare in a 26 year old. My regular ob/gyn said it was probably a chemical pregnancy but he couldn't say 100% because I didn't get a BFP. I had my DH bring my chart to a ob/gyn friend at his hospital and she agreed. Both felt the Shingles was due to a compromised immunity from early pregnancy.
Every situation is different, but that is my experience. My consolation in it all is that if a CP did occur it was for a reason, that egg and sperm were not meant to be our baby.
