My DH and I are getting really excited to buy stuff for the baby but we haven't taken the plunge yet to buy anything! It seems so overwhelming all the stuff to look at! I feel like registering for this will be difficult!
So...just curious to see what others have already purchasesd...if it is something really noteworthy post a link please
I welcome advice on all things baby!
TIA...and TGIF!
Re: What baby stuff have you purchased??
I bought a cute piggy bank for the babies room that I just had to have (from Homegoods).
And we purchased a stroller/carseat/base from a friend for really cheap. It looks brand new and why not pay $150 instead of $400 or $500!
My Mom has bought a few cute little clothes.
nothing
It seems way too early to buy stuff in my brain. I don't think I understand yet.
Yes, I have a blog and it's hilarious (except when it's not)
just a Coach diaper bag. It was such a great deal at the outlets so my mom got it for me for a Christmas gift.
I am going to the mall today so we will see...

We haven't purchased anything yet. Our first purchase will probably in January when we find out the sex. I told DH I really want to go buy the baby an outfit when we find out. Most of the rest of the clothes will be hand me downs from family.
I am in love with this bedding https://www.skiphop.com/product/moddot.html and just ordered a swatch (and am watching Craigslist for a deal).
I just bought my first baby book and pregnancy book on Amazon yesterday. Before that, absolutely nothing. And that's not really baby stuff; that's stuff I probably should've bought weeks ago!
I haven't even begun researching anything!
We have not bought anything yet. We are going to wait until next month when we find out the sex (hopefully!) before we make and purchases.
We have gotten a few gifts though. We have a car seat, a few onesies, some bibs, and a piggy bank. Enough that I have started a box for the baby stuff.
We have been very fortunate. I have purchased a high end glider for 30 dollars at a local garage sale, and other than that, everything we have has been free.
Actually, other than a few small items we are good to go. Means my registry is going to be primarily cloth diapers.
Nothing really. I got an "I love Daddy" bib to give DH when we first heard the heartbeat, but I think that's it. I'm knitting a blanket but since my mom is already knitting two and I'm not really in love with the one I'm making, I might frog it and use the yarn for something else.
I think once we know the sex I'll be more into buying stuff. And with our families I don't want to get too many big things yet, since I have a feeling our registry is going to get pillaged.
Been away from theBump for a while, getting active again for all the good advice
We have a few outfits that I bought when my mom and I went to the outlets a few weeks ago. I also have the free sling and udder cover that was posted about on a little while back.
I've been trying to get MH to go to BRU with me, just to look of course, but he won't go. He thinks it's too soon. If he doesn't want to go soon, I'm going to have to call in grandma!
Nothing huge.
I bought two outfits (one while visiting Harvard and one at the Miami Heat game, the jersey was too cute to resist).
We have received a couple of gifts (a UCF, our alma mater, onezie), a Cabo San Lucas onezie (from my sister), and i hope DH & baby matching shirts (DH's says "I make adorable babies" and baby's says "I'm an adorable baby)
My in laws bought me a Coach baby bag for Hannukah and my parent's bought us an amazing car seat (a high end) in black (on super sale).
Post- January, it's on!
I can't wait to buy nursery furniture!

I bought the PBK Dr. Seuss bedding nearly two years ago. This was before we really talked about having kids seriously. I knew we would someday, and I LOVE Dr. Seuss and would have been super sad if I hadn't bought it then as it has been discontinued.
Thus, I have a few crib sheets, a comforter (for tunny time) and a pillow sham.
I started a Wish List today on Amazon so that it's hidden. It's fun for me to add things then see if I like them again in a week.
Apparently I am the wierd one here:
We purchased our travel system at the beginning of November. I really wanted the Britax Chaperone Infant Carrier and stroller, but they discontinued the stroller so I didnt want to wait and we were able to purchase it relatively in expensive considering the original list.
I found the bedding we have loved at BBB for $50 on clearance, along with the diaper stacker, and wall art. The original price was well over 300 for everything and I walked out paying less than $60.
I have been given a "my breast friend" nursing pillow, but will be purchasing a new cover for it.
We also have two pack 'n plays that were given to us, as well as a baby gate.
My friend purchased the Black microfiber Vera Bradley diaper bag as soon as I told her and it arrived yesterday
Family has said they are buying the baby gifts for Christmas. It is the first grandchild for both sides, so everyone is just a little bit excited.
I haven't bought anything. We have a lot of hand me downs that are in nice shape. I did however pick out the bedding that we'll use. It's neutral so it doesn't matter the sex. And I already created a registry and put that on there, along with everything that matches with it
I had kind of slowly been buying little novelty items - a handknit "bear" hat from Etsy, a onesie from our vacation in Hawaii, etc. I set up a registry on Amazon as I've been researching products and then recently I decided that I want both a regular pram stroller (First Years Wave) and a jogging stroller.
The pram is on our registry but I lucked out and found the below Jeep jogger on craigslist - never used, the owner lives around the corner, and I paid way less than half price! So that's my biggest purchase so far...and I fully admit to going out to the garage to admire it/push it around at least once a day.
omggggg lucky!! this is my one guilty pleasure want for the baby (and it's for me really, lets be honest) and MIL hinted at getting it for my shower. But if it's a good deal at the outlets then maybe she'll pick one up...
as for me, all I've got is a couple of cute onesies I ordered and a pack and play left over from when my nephew lived with us. (and a few books and toys from that too)
I bought baby books before we knew we were pregnant and then right after we found out I bought a baby journal and subscribed to a magazine. DH and I bought a cute little bib set for MIL that says "On my way to grandma's" this is how we told my IL that we were expecting. Aside from that we haven't actually purchased anything.
My MIL for Christmas bought me a sling and a nursing cover
Come January when we find out the sex I'm sure we'll go buy some outfits.
Sooo jealous...
I want one sooooo bad, but even the outlet price would probably be too expensive. I don't mind the expense but my husband is adamant that I don't spend extra money on luxury things. Apparently because I choose to be in law school and he's the only one that works means I can't have things that are too nice
I'm pretty convincing though so I might not get a Coach diaper bag but I'll still be able to get a nice bag.
